L.A. Story

So, Lorein and I were watching "Southland" the other day (which is pretty much my new favorite show) and we had a true L.A. moment. The cops were talking to some rich lady and the shot panned out to show them going down the walk from the front door. At the same moment, Lorein and I gasped. It was the house of one of the partners from my summer job! I had eaten hors d'oeuvres on a little plate right on those very steps! Crazy.

New Year's Eve

As you can probably already tell, Carter is one spoiled kid. He got to open more Christmas presents at Grandma and Grandpa Crall's on New Year's Eve. Here are some of the details:

Just hanging around with dad waiting for the fun to start.
Helping Grandma Shari open one of her presents.
Carter opening one of his presents and me trying to get the boys on the couch to help take some videos.
Yep, these boys (we think that's root beer).

Hamming it up for the camera
Carter wearing my in-n-out shirt. Every Christmas the Crall's give us new in-n-out shirts. As you can see, this year's model generated a lot of excitement since it's black, not the usual white.
Carter's Great Grandma Riley gave him this super cute rocking chair. He loves to sit down and point out the train that's painted on it.
Who wouldn't want to spoil this kid??

Nevada Southern Railway

While we were in Vegas for Christmas we drove to Boulder City and rode the Nevada Southern Railway excursion train ride. All of us had a great time. I'm really glad Driel came up with the idea.

Carter was a little concerned at first when we were in the open air car.

Moriah is showing Carter that it's not scary at all.

What could be better than a pile of rocks to finish out the trip?
